Description
Patcharisa Suwannarat (b.1991, Thailand) graduated from Silpakorn University with a Master degree in Faculty of Painting Sculpture and Graphic Art.
Having grown up in a small Chinese community in Bangkok. Patcharisa credits the Chinese Village where she grew up for many of the influences on her works. Her works demonstrates a delicate memory of her childhood. The memory that is filled with warmth and love including the sad feelings when loved ones were lost. Then she realised the fond memories of love in the families. The funeral is not so doom anymore but it’s time for families to get together and show gratitude towards the dead. What she saw is not only the condolences but harmony. Patcharisa creates the objects surrounding her memory by using delicate embroidery where the objects is no longer just an object but her fond memories.
